Event overview
One of our most popular ever papers, our very first report on SCO losses was published in 2018, click here, but that was over eight years ago. What the working group asked of us, was to update that report, and to aggregate data from more retailers, to answer key questions such as; what is the uplift in losses when retailers introduce self-checkouts? What is the nature of any losses, mistakes or theft? What is the extent of, and the risks associated with skip scan, items left in trolley, walk offs, product switching, items that don’t scan or are found on file? And what about interventions, what is the evidence on the impact of scan avoidance technology, weight controls, exit gates, improved algorithms for shopper checks, etc?
We will share the answers to these questions and many others at this, the official launch of our new research, lead by Professor Matt Hopkins, University of Leicester.
Be one of the very first to see this report and new research that will be especially relevant to those; seeking to build consensus internally for a cross functional approach to improving SCO, looking to build the business case and ROI for new interventions, or to those who more simply want to think about new ways to convert missed scans at SCO into ACTUAL sales and improve the customer journey.
This is a retailer, CPG and academics only meeting.
