Event overview
Our research has identified that improved planogram compliance helps increase OSA, ensuring that the retailer has the right products, in the right stores, in the right location, with the right adjacencies, with the right number of facings, with an accurate and readable shelf edge label, showing the right price.
Traditionally, management visibility to the many elements of planogram compliance described here are limited by the significant cost of accurate and manual frequent audits. It follows that there are few research studies in the public domain on planogram compliance. However, an old study from a USA supermarket suggests that 4% of dry grocery goods shelf edge labels were likely to be missing at any one point in time, with up to 17% of missing labels in the more complex, Health and Beauty Care category. The opportunity seems significant as our research has indicated.
In this meeting, we will explore planogram compliance in more detail, and hear from retailers and the extent to which new technology such as digital shelf edge labels, have contributed to improved planogram compliance and lead to fewer shelf out of stocks.
This is a retailer, CPG and academic only meeting.
