As the retail context changes, for example, the e-commerce explosion, a tighter labour market, increasing requirement for shopper transparency, etc, the ECR expert group on inventory counting is focused on and turns its attention to the development of new thinking that reflects the changing business priorities, to the active sharing of best practices and the co-discovery of new ways to use the capability and the data more progressively across the business.

Once a year, the group made up of those who lead the inventory counting processes for their respective businesses, meet in person, to share, ideate and get new ideas that can refresh their work plans and working practices. Retailers, CPG's and academics are invited to this meeting.
