Our 2024 meeting confirmed that there is now some emerging evidence supporting a good return on investment when retailers create and then advertise an impression of control.

One campaign for a grocery retailer, promoting a message suggesting that a "sandwich is not just a sandwich" and that taking one from the shelf for your lunch is theft, saw a 25% reduction in losses on sandwiches.

In this meeting, we will review the deliverables from our marketing students advertising design competition and hear updates from retailers on their plans to launch staff dishonesty communications programme.
