Event overview
Beyond achieving strong order fill rates, leading CPGs actively support retailers with the expertise, insight, and resources needed to improve on-shelf availability (OSA) and reduce out-of-stocks.
This work typically begins with a shared, aligned understanding of the OSA problem and evolves through deep, cross-functional collaboration across the supply chain – spanning assortment decisions, shelf layouts, promotions, demand forecasting, and replenishment. It also extends into the store, where field teams partner closely with store teams to resolve phantom inventory, organize backrooms, maintain planogram integrity, set up displays, replenish shelves, and build category knowledge at the store level.
In this case study, Karey Todd, Head of Retail Operations for Duracell USA, alongside her supply chain colleagues, will share Duracell’s end-to-end approach to improving OSA. They will highlight how POS data sharing has become the foundation for effective collaboration – driving profitable sales growth for both the retailer and Duracell.
Following the presentation, retailers and CPGs will discuss key takeaways, explore ideas to bring back to their organizations, and share lessons learned from their own OSA journeys.
