Event overview
In this food waste working group, we will look at how retail can help rescue food in the supply chain, with a focus on how surplus food can become ingredients for new products, helping to create a new category in the store, that could sit alongside organic, free from and other relevant categories in the store.
To kick start the discussion, Nicole (Aldi) will introduce the opportunity she sees, share the ambitions of her business to get behind it, and then the mechanics of making it possible with partners such as unverschwendet
After the presentation, the working group will discuss the Aldi case, and then their own initiatives to rescue food from the supply chain.
