Event overview
In his new report, click here, Professor Stephan Ruschen provides an update on the deployment of autonomous stores. The report finds rapid global growth of Grab & Go stores, using computer vision and sensors for frictionless shopping. And despite closures, expansion continues, with major providers scaling deployments and projecting significant future growth worldwide.
This meeting will start with a presentation of these findings and then hear directly from those retailers that have trialled autonomous stores, with a focus on some of the operational challenges associated with these stores, including “pick” accuracy, handling refunds / wrong items claims, the sale of age restricted products, the use of discounts to sell through products that are close to their expiry dates and others.
Expect to take away from this meeting a fresh perspective on autonomous stores, and new insights from retailers who have deployed this technology. This meeting is for retailers, CPG’s and academics only.
